Sealed and ready for delivery

I got a call Saturday morning from my bishop that my call had been submitted and it was in the mail. Woot woot! So excited. In fact, I was so anxious that I waited by the mail box about 15 min prior to the mail man arriving. Sadly, I was disappointed when all that came in the mail was a bill for my father. :(

However; today is Monday and once again I'm waiting for the mail man.. It's 3:00 and no sign of him yet. I'm super anxious to find out where I will be going, when I'm leaving and etc... I'm really hoping that it comes today, so keep your fingers crossed!!!

In a push of a button!

My meeting went very well with the Stake President. Everything is good to go and my papers have been submitted. I'm so excited, but also so nervous at the same time. I'm not sure how long before my papers actually come. I've heard rumors that it takes about a week in a half to two weeks. Then again, Tyler my brother got his call in 6 days! So I'm not positive when they will show up, but my bishop told me that he can see when the presidency has submitted my call to the mail room. That means that I can kind of have an idea of when my papers will almost be here. It's only a matter of days. Once I hear from my bishop, I will let everyone know that my call is almost here. The nerves are beginning to kick in. Any ideas on where I will serve?

Well that sure didn't take long!

The stake president called me today and..... Well I meet with him tonight. In fact, in just a few hours! After that my papers should be officially in! Ahhhhh!!! I suddenly just got super nervous. I will blog more after my meeting. Now it's just a matter of weeks or even possibly days. I think reality is actually setting in. Wish me tons of luck, I definitely need it right now.

OUCH THAT HURT!!!

Today, I finished my medical examination. OUCH! I had to get two shots.. I also finished all my paperwork up and sent it electronically to my bishop. I then hand delivered my medical and dental papers to my bishop's house. It's been a busy two weeks getting everything done, but I can finally say I'm all done and I'm waiting for my meeting with the stake president.

Now everything is out of my hands. I've done my part, and now I have to wait. I will let everyone know after I have my meeting with the stake president. After I meet with the stake president, he will then submit my papers to the first presidency... The time from when the first presidency receives my information, decides on where I shall serve and mails my call back to me, it takes around a week to a week in a half. So please keep checking my blog for further updates.

Thanks everyone for all your comments, support and love! Keep your fingers crossed that I get a call this week from my stake president for my meeting!

In the beginning....

I finally turned 21 and had a friend bbq.. Because you only turn 21 once, you can see in my photos the theme was hawiian!! The party was lots of fun and I had a great turn out. Can you say," Aloha?!"

Today is the first day of my blog and it's also the upcoming start of my adventures of being a sister missionary. I've wanted to serve a mission ever since I was a little girl. However; last year when I turned 20 years old, I began to get extremly nervous realizing it was only a year away and began to think maybe a mission isn't the right thing for me. I was scared out of my mind! I didn't think that I could leave my friends or family for a year and a half!!!! This mission fear was something that I dealt with for several months. I felt strongly that I was to go, but wasn't ready to actually move forward and do it. It took courage, patience, faith and a lot of sacrafice to finally make the descion to serve the lord.

So I'm actually doing it... On August the 2nd, 2009 I met with the bishop for the first time to start the wonderful process of filling out my paper work. I had all of my paperwork filled the following day, but since I have to wait on doctor and dentist appoinments it has prolonged the process of handing them in. On August the 11th, 2009 I was able to get my dental examination taken care of.. I passed with flying colors and left the office with several congratualtions, a tooth brush, floss and another appointment to fix a broken tooth! The dentist told me that he wouldn't normally fix my broken tooth because it's just a little crack, but since I'm leaving on a mission and he can't keep an eye on the tooth he recommended me getting it fixed. Although the tooth was a conflict that didn't stop him from sighning off my papers for submitting! Yeah, one more thing to check the mission paper list!!!

This Friday, I meet with the doctor and I have to do the medical examination part. I have to admit that I'm not excited to go do that appointment. They have to find out my blood type therefore, that means that they will be taking blood. YIKES!!!! There are also many other examinations that have to be done that are going to be a little awkard. So wish me luck on my fun time at the doctors office!!!! My next appointment to meet with the bishiop is this Sunday. From that point, I will then meet with the Stake President and after that my mission papers will be sent to the first Presidency and they will choose where I will serve... This is just the beginning of the start of my missionary adventures. So keep in tune with all the fun and exciting times ahead! :)
