The prepartion period

I haven't update in a while. I will inform you on what has been going on. I've started to sorta get ready to go. The only thing that I really have done is gone to Walgreen's and got my pictures taken for my Visa. A few weeks ago, my passport arrived, so that is another thing to mark off my to do list. One major thing that I get to cross off this week is going to the temple and doing my endowment. The endowment will take place on Friday, October 9th in the Bountiful Temple. I'm very excited to finally experience the temple. I've waited all my life to do this and I have to admit that it is kind of weird that it is finally here. I have my mom and sister in law Melissa flying in from Arizona and lots of other family members and friends coming to support me.

For those of you who can't make the temple date. Please save the date for December 27, 2009. This is the date that my farewell talk will be given. As time gets closer I will post the time and location. Thanks friends and family for taking time to follow my blog. I'm sure in time it will become more interesting as I enter the MTC and begin to teach the Gospel in Honduras. Your all wonderful!

Adios.

Sister Stettler you are hereby called to serve as a missionary.. You are assigned to labor in the Honduras San Pedro Sula Mission

Well Yesterday night, September the 3rd I received my mission call. As I opened it and began reading my eyes skipped to the part where it read Honduras. Before my mouth could even read the words I yelled, "OH MY GOSH". I was in such shock!!!! "Where is Honduras even at", I said aloud? So I'm going to Honduras San Pedro Sula Mission, Spanish speaking. I leave for the Provo MTC, on January 20, 2010. I'm very excited... Now I have a lot of preparing to do. Until my next post- Adios my friends!

Sealed and ready for delivery

I got a call Saturday morning from my bishop that my call had been submitted and it was in the mail. Woot woot! So excited. In fact, I was so anxious that I waited by the mail box about 15 min prior to the mail man arriving. Sadly, I was disappointed when all that came in the mail was a bill for my father. :(

However; today is Monday and once again I'm waiting for the mail man.. It's 3:00 and no sign of him yet. I'm super anxious to find out where I will be going, when I'm leaving and etc... I'm really hoping that it comes today, so keep your fingers crossed!!!

In a push of a button!

My meeting went very well with the Stake President. Everything is good to go and my papers have been submitted. I'm so excited, but also so nervous at the same time. I'm not sure how long before my papers actually come. I've heard rumors that it takes about a week in a half to two weeks. Then again, Tyler my brother got his call in 6 days! So I'm not positive when they will show up, but my bishop told me that he can see when the presidency has submitted my call to the mail room. That means that I can kind of have an idea of when my papers will almost be here. It's only a matter of days. Once I hear from my bishop, I will let everyone know that my call is almost here. The nerves are beginning to kick in. Any ideas on where I will serve?

Well that sure didn't take long!

The stake president called me today and..... Well I meet with him tonight. In fact, in just a few hours! After that my papers should be officially in! Ahhhhh!!! I suddenly just got super nervous. I will blog more after my meeting. Now it's just a matter of weeks or even possibly days. I think reality is actually setting in. Wish me tons of luck, I definitely need it right now.

OUCH THAT HURT!!!

Today, I finished my medical examination. OUCH! I had to get two shots.. I also finished all my paperwork up and sent it electronically to my bishop. I then hand delivered my medical and dental papers to my bishop's house. It's been a busy two weeks getting everything done, but I can finally say I'm all done and I'm waiting for my meeting with the stake president.

Now everything is out of my hands. I've done my part, and now I have to wait. I will let everyone know after I have my meeting with the stake president. After I meet with the stake president, he will then submit my papers to the first presidency... The time from when the first presidency receives my information, decides on where I shall serve and mails my call back to me, it takes around a week to a week in a half. So please keep checking my blog for further updates.

Thanks everyone for all your comments, support and love! Keep your fingers crossed that I get a call this week from my stake president for my meeting!
